About CohnHeadHockey

Welcome to CohnHeadHockey, where we focus on developing well-rounded hockey players both on and off the ice. Founded by Justin Cohn, our summer program offers comprehensive skills development designed to elevate your game and your character.

At CohnHeadHockey, we provide a unique blend of on-ice and off-ice training. Our on-ice sessions cover all aspects of the game, including skating, passing, shooting, and stickhandling. Off the ice, we emphasize mental toughness, leadership, and becoming not just better athletes, but better individuals.

Meet Justin Cohn

I’m Justin Cohn, the founder of CohnHeadHockey. My hockey journey began as a player, competing for the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (T1EHL). Over my career, I played in four different junior leagues across five programs, including:

  • Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (EHL)
  • Buffalo Regals (GOJHL)
  • Rochester Monarchs (NCDC)
  • Utica Jr. Comets (NCDC)
  • New Jersey Titans (NA3HL)

I went on to commit to Alvernia University (NCAA D3), where I played for one year before transitioning into coaching. My coaching career began as the assistant coach for the New Mexico Ice Wolves (NA3HL), and I also served as head coach for their 14U team. From there, I became the head coach of the Decatur Blaze (USPHL).

Currently, I am the Head Coach of the SISU Thunderbirds College Prep team, as well as a regional scout for the Cowichan Capitals (BCHL) and the Corpus Christi IceRays (NAHL). My experience as both a player and coach has given me a deep understanding of the game, which I bring to every session at CohnHeadHockey.

Why CohnHeadHockey?

Over the summer, my primary focus is helping players refine their on-ice skills while fostering strong character and personal growth. Hockey is more than a sport; it’s a platform for developing lifelong values such as resilience, teamwork, and respect.

Join us at CohnHeadHockey, where we’re not just creating better players—we’re creating great people.
